Had a great meal here with a large party of 11. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were attentive and friendly. All 11 meals came out together with no delay and all piping hot. This place serves big portions so be prepared! Really tasty food and reasonably priced as well. Everyone has a nice time and we’ll definitely come back again.

The best pub in melksham.
This pub amazes me. Small village pub which has the right family environment. If you’re looking for food in Melksham, look no further. The menu is fantastic and if you don’t want a full meal, they have the best pizza oven with a great selection of pizzas. See my photos for how nice the meals there are. Friendly staff (all local), great chef and a really nice atmosphere.
This pub has it all. Perfect for couples or large parties. It has a beautiful garden with pizza oven if you want a pint and quick bite to eat alternatively their main menu offers a variety of homemade dishes. The New inn’s ambiance is cosy, inviting with a warm and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were welcoming friendly and efficient. I was recommended the steak and ale pie which was full of flavour and delicious. The portions are very generous and good value for money. I look forward to going back and trying more dishes.

Went for a meal on a Friday evening with friends, as a group of 4. Arrived to find both inside and out very busy, fortunately we had booked. Everyone was very friendly. There was a good range of drinks and food on offer. Food was well presented, generous portion and very nice. Had a chat to the owner part way through, very friendly. An excellent evening.
We had 5 in our group and was lucky enough to secure a booking within the next hour. We were made very welcome and the menu had something for everyone's taste. We each had something different and I had the chilli con carne with extra chilli. I am in my 60s and can say hand on heart it was the best ever! One grandson had the steak and said he thought the sauce was the nicest he had ever had in his 19 yrs! All of us were extremely impressed and having moved to the area recently we are very likely to make it a regular stop. Thank you chef for caring enough to visit our table too. Hats off, amazing quality food, great service.
